Backyard Sports Return Revealed in New Trailer, Teases Baseball Video Game
After recent teases |A| on social media, the |B| Backyard Sports video game |C| series has been confirmed |D| to return.
Playground Productions |E| released an official reveal |F| trailer for the relaunched |G| series teasing a new |H| baseball game on Tuesday.
|J| dir="ltr">The trailer includes Backyard |K| Sports icons Pablo Sanchez, |L| Stephanie Morgan, Achmed Khan, |M| Pete Wheeler and Kiesha |O| Phillips.
The upcoming game |P| will mark the first |Q| release for the franchise |R| since 2015 when Backyard |S| Sports: Baseball and Backyard |U| Sports: Basketball were released |V| for iOS and Android.

Kansas |G| City Royals star Bobby |H| Witt Jr. used a |J| custom Pablo Sanchez bat |K| last weekend against the |L| Cincinnati Reds as part |M| of MLB Players Weekend. |O| He even hit a |P| homer with it in |Q| Fridays 7-1 victory.
|R| dir="ltr">Tess DeMeyer of The |S| Athletic noted an official |U| release date for the |V| new game has not |Y| been set, but an |Z| announcement from Playground Productions |A| said it would be |B| "in the coming months."

Interest in |Z| the franchise seemed to |A| pick up earlier this |B| year when Jason and |C| Travis Kelce talked about |D| it on the New Heights podcast, |E| with Jason saying he |F| was "secretly looking into" |G| who held the rights |H| to the franchise to |J| potentially buy them and |K| relaunch the series.
The |L| franchise launched in 1997 |M| with Backyard Baseball. Football, |O| basketball, soccer, skateboarding and |P| hockey were all added |Q| to the list of |R| games in the Backyard |S| Sports franchise over the |U| years.
Professional stars like |V| Stephen Curry, LeBron James, |Y| Derek Jeter, Mike Trout, |Z| LaDainian Tomlinson, Peyton Manning |A| and Michael Vick have |B| all been featured in |C| past games in the |D| franchise.
There have been |E| a total of 38 |F| games released in the |G| series, not including the |H| relaunch title.
