Edwards: 5 Raiders to watch in 2024 preseason finale

The Las Vegas |A|
Raiders coaching staff and |B|
front office have one |C|
last chance to evaluate |D|
their roster Friday night. |E|
"I told these |S| guys, they have a |U| great opportunity for themselves |V| competing for a roster |Y| spot," Antonio Pierce said |Z| Wednesday. "And really, its |A| just not for the |B| Raiders, its the entire |C| National Football League because |D| we know that were |E| not going to have |F| everybody on the roster. |G| There will be other |H| opportunities on practice squad |J| or other teams, so |K| theyre competing in front |L| of everybody. This is |M| a big week for |O| them, and I think |P| its really critical for |Q| some of the guys |R| that were going to |S| play that might have |U| two or three years |V| in league as well |Y| to prove that they |Z| can take that next |A| step."
With a little |B| over 24 hours until |C| the Raiders kick off, |D| here are five players |E| to keep an eye |F| in Fridays game.
Brittain |G| Brown
Brittain Brown came |H| into training camp fighting |J| an uphill battle to |K| stake his claim in |L| the backfield.
The 2022 |M| seventh-round pick got off |O| to a fast start |P| in the preseason of |Q| his rookie campaign which |R| played a factor in |S| him making the 53-man |U| roster. He appeared in |V| six games his rookie |Y| season and then was |Z| forced to sit out |A| the entirety of the |B| 2023 season due to |C| injury. He returned a |D| running back room with |E| Zamir White taking over |F| as lead back and |G| Alexander Mattison and 2024 |H| draft pick Dylan Laube |J| now added into the |K| mix.
While it may |L| be a crowded room, |M| Brown has found ways |O| throughout training camp to |P| shine on a few |Q| carries and earn reps |R| on special teams. Hes |S| averaged 3.6 yards a |U| carry this preseason, which |V| is the third-most of |Y| all running backs on |Z| the roster.
